Harvest Moon Regatta ~ 2008

This is from “After Hours” doing the Harvest Moon Regatta, October 16-18, 2008 from Galveston to Port Aransas, TX

This was the first regatta for “After Hours” and the first time we have taken her in open waters. She came in 4th place in her division!

Harvest Moon 2008 – approaching Port Aransas

Aboard s/v Catharsis sailing in the 2008 annual Harvest Moon Regatta. Here we are approaching Port Aransas and the outer marker. This is around 9:15-30am and just prior to the traffic jam that ensued in the channel.

We took 2nd place in Cruising Non Spinnaker Division D!

Texas Tallship Elissa – Full Sail

This is the 1877 Tallship Elissa sailing in the Gulf of Mexico. What an amazing sail it was too…

Elissa is a ship that is crewed mostly by volunteers. When not sailing Elissa is a museum ship open to the public in galveston.

Sail the Salt Sea

Pralie and Scott both volunteer aboard the 1877 Tallship Elissa in Galveston. During the annual Sea Trials volunteers take her out to sail in the Gulf. These clips are from the 2006 Day Sails. This was Pralie’s first year onboard, I think she did really great!
