Im going to Texas in May to watch a soccer game in Houston (Reliant Stadium) i was thinking instead of staying in houston, maybe Galveston will be fun? its not too far right? ive never been there, but i went on their website, and i think it will be more fun then houston. am i wrong???? im also in love with 3 hotels! (just from seeing pics from the sites) the st luis, mooody gardens, and hotel galvez….. which one is the nicest???? they are all around same price, so i want the nicest room/ pool/ restaurant. do u think i should even stay in galveston? it will be me and my boyfriend’s 1st vacation without our daughter, so we want something fun!!!

Whether you think Galveston will be more fun than Houston is completely dependant on what you like to do. I love Galveston, but you’ll find people on here who hate it and think there isn’t anything to do. It’s roughly 45 minutes to an hour from Houston, btw. Out of your 3 hotel choices, I’d choose the Galvez. It’s a gorgeous, historic building. But, the rooms are too small for some people’s tastes, so keep that in mind. Also, depending on how old your daughter is, staying at Moody Gardens might be better for you. If you plan on doing all of the attractions a Moody Gardens, staying on site would cut down on a lot of travel. But, it’s not on the beach like the Galvez and the San Luis are. So, it’s completely up to you and your tastes and interests. The San Luis is probably the "nicest" and Moody Gardens is probably the most updated. All 3 hotels are great properties though, so you can’t really go wrong with any of them. Have fun if you come to Galveston. Post back if you have any questions on activities or restaurant suggestions.
