I would really like to throw my boyfriend a surprise birthday party in early November. I was thinking about a beach house in Galveston or Surfside since it would be off season and might get a good deal, but all the ones I find won’t rent for parties. I would even consider a rental house somewhere in Houston since it would be closer for me.

It is about 12 miles of pure I-45 from texas city to galveston. I was just wondering how much traffic will i face duringrush hour, because I will be commuting everyday to galveston around 7 30 am , 8 am etc..andcoming back to texas city area by 6pm

It’s really not that bad…I commute everyday to Galveston for work from Webster…but I leave about 7 am…to get to work by 8 am …I arrive about 20-25 mins early everyday….so there is really no traffic…I leave work about 5pm and the traffic is still good…until you get to Bay Area Exit….that’s when the traffic starts about 5:15-6:45….but I guess you really don’t have to go that far.

Im going on a cruise July 1. And the port that we leave is at galveston. I checked the weather and it said it had. 90% chance of rain. Im with Carnival. So im wondering if a cruise can get canceled due to rain?

No. Your biggest chance of getting delayed in Galveston is fog.
