Dr. Manzanero serves as Medical Director of AIM MD P.A. and has been a physician for over 20 years. He graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, then completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and an internship at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. He has practiced in Austin since 1990.

One month after Hurricane Ike destroyed much of Galveston Island many residents are still homeless. The Red Cross and other organizations will soon leave and organizations such as Good News Galveston will fill the void. Jerry Davis, the Disaster Pastor is working with other pastors in refurbishing homes. Volunteers are Needed. Check the Good News Galveston web site to volunteer. The story was produced by Jim Becka, a longtime journalist for the Houston area. His stories have appeared on KTRH (Houston), KLIF (Dallas) and the Mutual Radio Network. He currently teaches journalism and is a weekend producer for KSBJ (Houston).

On September 13, 2008, Hurricane Ike slammed the Gulf Coast of Texas, damaging homes and displacing residents throughout the region. FEMA, in coordination with the state of Texas and other agencies, move to provide safe temporary shelter while homeowners affected by the storm pick up the pieces and go about rebuilding their lives.
