I recently picked up a Galveston Flying V from a yard sale, I was wondering how good the guitars are in quality, it’s a bit of a hard call since it has been owned for two years, I can tell that the knobs are definitely not original though. I can’t find an official site or anything so can anyone tell me about them?

Also the only ones that I’ve found online are all acrylic but I can say that this one is black with a white fret board.

very very good

Hy
Im a student and for my bachelor thesis im planning to go to galveston texas. So my question is, how much do I need to calculate for living and all that? I hardly didnt find any info about that?
pls help me

First off find out where your going to live their an apartment, house, on campus, etc. after that find out how much it’ll cost a month. Then figure up how much you’ll need for food, gas, clothing, personal activities. This should give you a good idea how much you’ll need in a month!

That are hiring? I’ve always been super interested in trying this out, and now I really want to. I’m from Houston, TX but I need to know if there are any hiring in Houston, or Galveston, TX. :) Or just anywhere in between them? Any names for cruise ships that are hiring? Has anyone ever been an employee on a ship? Is it fun? I love working with people, so.. IDK. Just need help starting. Ideas? Thanks a head of time!

Your best bet would be to go to the cruise line websites directly and look under the job section. You will need to contact them all to find out. Cruise lines don’t tend to advertise jobs you will need to do the work to find out.

I live near Galveston island off the coast of Texas. I’d like to start surfing here but because of the shallow shoreline good size waves don’t come often. I can’t seem to find any information on my area from surf sites, probably because it’s not a major spot.
What are some good resources to help me predict when we will get good size waves to surf?

No surfer will tell you about great surf sports because who’d want crowds turning up to your secret spot? :)

My tip is get the boys or the missus and go for a road trip along the coast 1 weekend. That way, you can check out your whole coastline and find your own special spot and it’s all the more sweeter because of your trip.

Galveston, Brazoria and. Matagorda: THREE TEXAS COUNTIES WHERE IT WENT BAD.

Perry should learn a little history before he raises up the 1981 experiment as a model for Social Security reform. In that experiment, three Texas counties “decided to opt out of Social Security and instead to provide their public employees with a system of privatized accounts.” But this system left participants worse off than they would have been under Social Security.

A workable plan to allow states to opt out of Social Security would require draconian provisions, such as a mandate that everyone must retire in the same state that they worked and paid taxes in. Otherwise, workers who are too young to receive Social Security benefits would move to an opt-out state to avoid paying Social Security taxes — and then promptly move to a state with Social Security benefits the moment they became eligible.

Eventually, the entire system would collapse under the weight of too many Social Security beneficiaries who had not paid into the system.

The three Texas counties “decided to opt out of Social Security and instead to provide their public employees with a system of privatized accounts.” The analysis done by the Congressional Research Service “compares two sets of families in three different income brackets [and] shows what happens to their retirement in 2005 under Social Security and under the Texas plan.” The conclusion:
By examining the actual system in place in Texas, this study shows that Americans are worse off with privatized accounts — not in theory, but in reality.

even if perry got in i dont think he can do away with social security its political suicide for his whole party it wont get pass a demorcrat congeress for one with congeress only having 18 percent approval rating theyre not going to be around much longer and the senate probably will stay demorcrat regardless rick perry is an idiot so i dont think either party would let him get that passed remember when bush tried FAILURE

What is a good website that does daily updates on wave predicitions for different regions(specifically the Texas Coast near Galveston)? Because of the shape of the shore the waves are normally small so I’d like to find a site that I can check out to see when or if the waves will be worth surfing.

Right now there is no such thing. The closest you will find are the Union Pension Funds and the company Pension Funds.
